Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs Consular Affairs moves into new premises

3rd Floor, 14th, Sir Baron Jayathilake Mawatha Fort, will be transferred to the Ceylinco Building, 2nd Floor, No. 69 Janadhipathi Mawatha, Colombo 01, from Monday, 6 February, 2017, the ministry said in a statement.

The new headquarters will be ceremonialamente inaugurated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mangala Samaraweera on Monday 6 February 2017. The Minister of Foreign Affairs will also launch a system electronic documents Crowded (e-DAS) technology to reduce processing time A verification process In real time with Sri Lankan missions and consulates abroad, as well as with other governmental institutions. There will also be an online system for appointments and payments in the new site.

The new premises will be open to the public on Tuesday, 7 February 2017. However, to ensure uninterrupted service to the public, consular services will remain available in the BOI building until further notice.
