Sri Lanka shares have reached more than 1 week of closing; PABC increases turnover
Sri Lanka shares peaked over a week, led by finance, with shares of Pan Asia Banking Corporation Plc accounting for 85 percent of Thursday's turnover.
The Colombo stock index rose 0.28 percent to 6,245.71, moving away from its nearest low since April 6 on Tuesday.
Revenues were 720.9 million rupees ($ 4.82 million), less than the daily average of about 740 crore for that year.
Foreign investors bought Thursday a net amount of 12.3 crore shares, the extension of foreign net inflows until the end of the year to 639.8 billion rupees.
Pan Asia Banking gained 1.5 percent, while shares of Ceylinco Insurance Plc increased by 17.8 percent.
